Advisory body to the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Armenia & UNICEF Armenia

  • Advise senior officials at the Ministry of Environment and UNICEF Armenia on the development of youth-inclusive climate policies and strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-sector youth leaders to provide strategic policy inputs on the RA Climate Law and Climate Action Plan.
  • Analyze and report on climate-related systemic risks and opportunities from a youth demographic perspective to inform national strategy.
  • Co-develop national awareness campaigns and non-formal climate science educational programmes.

  • Legislative contribution. Contributed to Armenia's Law on Climate, authoring Article 5 on Intergenerational Climate Justice and the Best Interests of the Child.
  • National delegation & organizing. Executive Organizer for LCOY 2026; engaged in organizational work and youth advocacy for CBD COP17 hosted in Armenia.
  • Capacity building. Delivered specialized climate science and policy training to youth cohorts across Armenia.

Meeting with the President of the UN General Assembly

Bilateral diplomatic engagement

Held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Abdulla Shahid, President of the 76th UN General Assembly, during his historic first visit to Armenia, alongside UN Resident Coordinator a.i. Mrs. Lila Pieters Yahia.

Our discussion centred on critical national environmental vulnerabilities — the accelerating desertification of the Ararat Valley, and the ecological and social impacts of Armenia's heavy economic reliance on the mining sector. I presented my ongoing environmental initiatives and advocated for enhanced United Nations support in transitioning Armenia away from resource extraction and toward a sustainable, dematerialized green economy.

  • Represented regional youth in high-level multilateral dialogues, ensuring community proposals were articulated directly to decision-makers.

As an active member of YOUNGO I work to ensure the perspectives of Armenian youth are represented in global climate negotiations. Under the YOUNGO umbrella I served as Lead Executive Organizer for LCOY Armenia in 2025 and 2026, coordinating nationwide conferences that synthesized local environmental demands into official National Youth Statements.

As a member of GYBN Armenia I am dedicated to mobilizing youth to halt biodiversity loss and advocate for nature-based solutions. My involvement focuses on integrating biodiversity conservation into national education and youth policy, complementing my academic research on forest resilience mapping and climate-smart reforestation.

UNICEF Green Campaign: Zero Waste Living

UNICEF Armenia, Austrian Development Agency & Ministry of Environment August 2021

In collaboration with UNICEF, the Austrian Development Agency and the Ministry of Environment, I joined a nationwide campaign advocating zero-waste living. Using digital advocacy, I translated complex environmental threats into accessible, everyday behavioural changes. Beyond the online campaign I established a local eco-club in the Ararat region to drive hands-on community projects — grounded in the belief that protecting nature is a fundamental act of defending our homeland.
