Members of the Youth Council on Climate Change with the Minister of Environment of Armenia

To mark this important day, together with my fellow members of the Youth Council on Climate Change — affiliated with the Ministry of Environment and UNICEF — we had the honor of meeting with the Minister of Environment of Armenia.

The highlight of our meeting was officially presenting the National Youth Statement (opens in a new tab).

This document was developed during the Local Conference of Youth (LCOY) Armenia, bringing together the voices of over 100 passionate young people and adolescents from across all regions of the country. It captures our unified stance — summarizing the priorities, actionable proposals, and expectations of Armenian youth when it comes to tackling climate change.

We deeply value our ongoing cooperation with the Ministry of Environment and our joint commitment to ensuring that the voices of young people are consistently heard and acted upon.

A massive thank you to the Minister and our amazing partners at UNICEF for making this impactful meeting possible.
